About Me

Hi, I'm Laura Reynolds, MD, MPH—a board-certified psychiatrist in adult, child, and adolescent psychiatry, with a deep beleif that healing happens when we treat the whole person: mind, body, and spirit.

My path to psychiatry was rooted in a love for connection and a drive to truly understand people—not just their symptoms, but their stories. I started my career in high-volume community clinics and residential treatment centers, often serving children and teens with extensive trauma histories. Those years taught me how deeply our environments, relationships, and early experiences shape who we become—and how profoundly people can heal when they’re met with compassion and care.

I originally thought I’d go into OB/GYN because I’ve always been passionate about women’s health. But I found myself drawn to the “why” behind people’s struggles more than the “what.” I wanted to know my patients deeply—to walk alongside them as they made sense of their lives and reconnected with hope. That’s what led me to psychiatry.

Even within psychiatry, though, I felt something was missing. Traditional treatment often stops at diagnosis and medication. But healing is rarely that simple. As I started navigating my own health—and that of my children—I began to explore integrative medicine. I realized that the tools I was discovering for myself were the ones my patients were searching for, too: care that goes beyond medication to include nutrition, hormones, sleep, nervous system support, and lifestyle change.

My practice is deeply informed by both my professional experience and my personal life. I’m a mother of five, including a child with special needs. I know what it’s like to grieve the future you thought you’d have, and to show up anyway, every single day. I understand the overwhelm of caregiving, the emotional toll of anxiety, and the silent suffering so many women carry during life transitions. I’ve lived through many of the same moments my patients bring into our sessions—and I hold their stories with reverence.

Outside of work, you can usually find me hiking with my dogs (they’re the best), sitting in a sauna, or sneaking in a few pages of a good book between carpools and kid activities. I love to travel, though these days it takes a little more planning with five kids at home! I’m someone who values deep friendships and makes it a point to stay connected to the people I care about—because relationships, after all, are what matter most.

In my work, I offer more than just treatment—I offer partnership. My patients describe me as easy to talk to, thoughtful, and the kind of person who really listens. Whether you're navigating anxiety, OCD, ADHD, depression, trauma, or hormonal mood changes, I’ll work with you to create a plan that honors your lived experience and supports your growth.

If you're ready to feel more like yourself again, I’d be honored to walk with you.
